  1. Yeah I find it incredibly mind boggling. None the less, here in southern South Australia, 2 out of my 6 rural neighbours are fierce Trump supporters. 😔 I put a huge “WE SUPPORT UKRAINE” sign out the front and they haven’t talked to me since 😂

  4.  @jlighter1  Correct. Job openings because the local population didn’t want to work, the industries in the area couldn’t function because they couldn’t fill positions. There was also a drug problem. The immigrants actually brought growth and prosperity back. Given the numbers of new arrivals, one has to expect there will be problems. I bet the percentage is low but enough to need attention. (My town is population 30,000.   6. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise 🥸. Trump has helped more of us (globally) see who the elites are and what they are really up to. And we have a few different types of elites out there who live in a world of their own and will go to any lengths to protect their interests and legacies.

I can tell from over here that many Americans don’t understand what is happening with migrants and the economic as well as demographic benefits they bring to the US economy. If you are a business/farmer/factory owner, who will you employ? The self entitled local with high expectations ? Or the migrant who doesn’t care what they do & has a high work ethic because they are just happy to have the opportunity to work and provide for their family. My prior comment just points out that the ones that are not wanted in by the government, are a minority. But media makes a huge deal out of it and politicians can campaign on it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  24.  @themachine5647  You absolutely nailed it with that piece of information. I used to be one of those. Hard working , don’t care about anything other then job, the family and the farm up keep. Took a traumatic accident for me to stop and look around and start being interested in the bigger picture. A lot of Australians think trump will win and quite a few have even bought in to his cult like narrative. I hope the democrats will pull off another win till republicans lose this Maga Party that just doesn’t come accross as a positive solution for the wolds future.
