  1.  @jlighter1  Correct. Job openings because the local population didn’t want to work, the industries in the area couldn’t function because they couldn’t fill positions. There was also a drug problem. The immigrants actually brought growth and prosperity back. Given the numbers of new arrivals, one has to expect there will be problems. I bet the percentage is low but enough to need attention. (My town is population 30,000. Its hard for anything to go wrong or happen without EVERYONE in town knowing about it within hours 😅) My information Soures: #Ryan McBeth
