On ya mate!! 😎✊🏻🇦🇺
Another Aussie here, watching, listening, learning, liking, commenting, subscribing, sharing , donating & supporting Ukraine in anyway I can. Haven’t missed a beat since 24/02/2024.
If our government would grow a pair, and tax our gass that gets exported adequately and fairly, we could easily afford to give Ukraine as much as what US and EU have provided. There is an internal stranglehold on Australia that has imposed itself from abroad, no thanks to some self serving politicians.
I only wish for now to see Ukraine win back its full territorial integrity and for Russia to EFOff out’a there.
Slava Ukraini ✊🏻💙💛🇺🇦🇦🇺

@yellowtunes2756
Ukraine is out numbered and outgunned in every way as you said. Since late 2022 Ukraine has held the line pretty damn incredibly against all odds. Their military is civilians with less then 2years training or experience. They have to learn how to evolve their military tactics from Soviet style to modern combined arms combat. They will need almost 10years to get this right. Maybe less.
They have no navy but they managed to force the Black Sea Fleet out of most of the Black Sea and are able to secure their own shipping routes to the Bosporus. Kerch bridge usability is significant hampered. Air defence in Crimea is being destroyed constantly.
While Ukraine succeeds at hitting military targets, Russia uses its overwhelming air superiority to destroy dams, energy production facilities, civilian apartments, schools, hospitals, playgrounds, train stations, churches, market places, post offices, humanitarian relief centers…..
What Russia does militarily is not the actions of a confident, competent and effective 2nd in the world military power.
Just mass over quantity.

@Rufio_Cristiforus_Tucarus
Moscow was the Heart of the Soviet Union. After the collapse in 1990, things changed for many Soviet countries but not for Moscow or anything east of it.
The war for Oil , Gas, military industries, Warm water Sea ports and various military bases is all that Russia is in Ukraine for. This was planned 15years or more ago. Ukraine made a $10billion deal with SHELL & BP in 2010 to start mining in Donbas and Off the coast of Crimea. Russia will block any chance that a Western run Ukraine could supply Europe with Energy resources.
As Ukraine was an industrial hub for the Soviet Union and a source of some of its best fighters, Russian federation seeks to regain control of this territory (all Ukraine if possible) as it has great Geopolitical value both militarily, economically and financially. The Import Export and Navy presence potential in to the Mediterranean Via the Black Sea are enormous.
So , sure, Russia has some valid self interested reasons to be invading Ukraine since 2014 but it is all alone in the fight. Europe has been asleep allowing Russia to provide the bulk of the Energy supply, causing a National Security Risk to most European countries including ex Soviets.
Can I see a peaceful solution to all this?
NO! Either Russia takes over Ukraine then Europe, or they are defeated in Ukraine and the RU federation collapses seeing a potential break up of the Russian Siberian states.

First, just to clarify: France never left NATO. It was one of the original signatories of the North Atlantic Treaty and it never revoked its agreement to the Treaty.
What France left was the NATO Military Structure. In other words, it withdrew its contribution of French military officers and enlisted personnel to the manning of the NATO Command Structure (e.g., the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE)) and it withdrew its forces from the NATO Force Structure--the contribution of national military forces (units) to NATO military operations and missions. France actually pulled its Navy out of the Force Structure in 1963, then followed in June 1966 with a complete withdrawal from all NATO military activities. And stayed out until 2009, when President Sarkozy announced it would rejoin the NATO Military Structure at the Strasboug/Kehl summit.
And even its withdrawal from the military structure was not a complete rejection of the need to coordination military activities with NATO. Under an agreement worked out by General Lemnitzer, then SACEUR, and General Ailleret, then Chief of Staff of the French Army, France continued to be included in plans about response to nuclear attack or Soviet invasion. France continued to contribute funds and receive air defence data from the NATO Air Defence Ground Environment (NADGE). France continued to support the NATO pipeline system.
But, to really address the question, there are two reasons that were well-recognized then and now. First, de Gaulle always saw France as a global power, even as it was withdrawing control over its colonies and seeing its economic stature in the world decline. And in the 1960s, the price of global power was maintaining nuclear arms. He felt strongly that the U.S., having overwhelming superiority in nuclear forces and weapons among Western nations, was bullying other NATO nations into acting as its proxies and taking their agreement to U.S. nuclear strategy as a given. By withdrawing France from NATO's military elements and maintaining independent control of its nuclear arms, de Gaulle believed France would have a greater say in the global political card game. One could argue that he was right, in retrospect.
The second reason is what is for most politicians the first reason for foreign policy choices: its domestic impact. De Gaulle was aging, the opposition parties in the Fifth Republic were growing in strength and influence, he was no longer being seen as the two-time "saviour" of France, and this decision sent a powerful message within France that he was still a force to be reckoned with and that he held France's interests first. This rationale, however, clearly did not prove right in retrospect: less than three years after making this decision, he was forced to retire, even though his party had won a majority in the June 1968 election.

@simsfish8728
What has your Supreme king done for you to improve your life?
Do you measure it based on how much money you have in your pocket?
Just remember this.
Outside of America, is a whole world of countries going through similar if not FAR WORSE conditions then what you are experiencing. As an outsider, I would recommend you think about it. Are you worse off than the average, Russian, South Africa, Mexican, Philippine, Australian, South or N Korean, Ukrainian, Hungarian, British….
Who is being lied to ?

@roncollins1046
Well…. You write very well. 👍🏻
Everything about the history of our world makes us who we are today. One thing in common? We are All humans with a variety of personalities, disabilities, beliefs, culture, aspirations, desires, abilities and colour.
We can get along as 1 .
But why don’t we ?
It’s the greedy desire to “rule and control”that brings out the worst in us. Racism, prejudice, hatred , jealousy, need for control, self belief that one can do greater things, better and more successfully then others.
To understand a person, we learn about their past.
To understand a country , we learn about its history.
To understand the world …. Probably takes a whole school of great minds. I definitely can’t compile all that information in to one. I’m trying, as you are but it’s challenging with a left frontal lobe traumatic brain injury. Love the challenge though 😎

@operator9858
Let’s have a look 👀
From UN website: “From 24 February 2022, which marked the start of the large-scale armed attack by the Russian Federation, to 7 May 2023, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) recorded 23,606 civilian casualties in the country: 8,791 killed and 14,815 injured.
•18,999 casualties (6,820 killed and 12,179 injured) in territory controlled by the Government when casualties occurred:
In Donetsk and Luhansk regions: 9,646 casualties (4,010 killed and 5,636 injured); and
In other regions2: 9,353 casualties (2,810 killed and 6,543 injured).
4,607 casualties (1,971 killed and 2,636 injured) in territory occupied by the Russian Federation when casualties occurred:
In Donetsk and Luhansk regions: 3,074 casualties (692 killed and 2,382 injured); and
In other regions3: 1,533 casualties (1,279 killed and 254 injured).”
“OHCHR believes that the actual figures are considerably higher, as the receipt of information from some locations where intense hostilities have been going on has been delayed and many reports are still pending corroboration. This concerns, for example, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Lysychansk, Popasna, and Sievierodonetsk (Luhansk region), where there are allegations of numerous civilian casualties.”

I’m sorry but Mearsheimer is the very example of a “Russian asset” or “a useful idiot”.
When Russians attacked Ukraine 24/2/2022, I instantly started doing my own research. Mearsheimer was THE 1st Voice I listened too and I understood where he was coming from and at first believed him. But then I started listening to other experts on Russia , Soviet Union, Ukraine, Europe and all history of the region going back to Roman Empire times. These experts came from Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, UK, US , India, China, Japan ,Africa even an Australian.
Most of them have lived and worked in Russia between 1989 and now so they qualify to talk about it at length.

Believe what suits your morals but please don’t let anyone fool you in to thinking that the system that upholds the current Russian Federation ( that has been in place since Genghis Kahn took over Moscow) is a system we want to endorse or tolerate because absolute power corrupts absolutely 😎

@antipropo461
The 1979-1989 Soviet invasion and the subsequent civil war killed more than two million Afghans, turned many more into refugees and transformed the Westernised, largely secular nation into a haven for al-Qaeda and a battleground for the US’s longest armed conflict.
According to the Costs of War Project, the war killed approximately 176,000 people in Afghanistan: 46,319 civilians, 69,095 military and police personnel, and at least 52,893 opposition fighters According to the United Nations, after the 2001 invasion, more than 5.7 million former refugees returned to Afghanistan.However, with the return to power of the Taliban in August 2021, 2.6 million Afghans remained refugees,mostly in Pakistan and in Iran, while another 4 million Afghans remained internally displaced within the country.

@Anarchistarchitect
So why are they still there? We have seen how military and government personnel have warned them for weeks that they should go . Who’s fault is it if they end up dead?
When this ends , there will be many accusations being thrown around saying Zelensky didn’t do enough to save his people. Watch the current arguments that he is the reason that this war continued. And that Zelensky doesn’t want to talk to or engage with Putin. That by refusing to tell his military to stand down and give Russia what it wants he is committing his country to more death and destruction. That they shouldn’t have aloud the AZOV battalion to be accepted in to the national military . That they shouldn’t have allowed US to have business deals with Oligarchs that would allow Ukraine and Europe to rely far less on Russia for Oil Gass and Fertilisers.
Sadly the more you learn about the reasons behind war happening, the more you realise just how little these precious lives of civilians matter to the ones making all the moves.
Presidents are merely puppets of the state Democratic construct unless you are all about Empire like Putin or Xi . Those two are the top of their country which is what makes their regime so threatening. What they say goes and if you argue or disagree….. public persecution, arrests, fines, jail or death will be your punishment for speaking your mind.
Who is in charge of your life?
Who makes it possible for you to have a phone, a house a bed all the things in your home, a job a vehicle the gass the electricity the fuel the roads the schools for your kids the shopping Centers to buy your food the café, the restaurants, the builders, the whole medical industry, the banks …. You take that all away what are you? What do you have ?
Who are you?
Who am I ?
OUR COMBINED COUNTRIES IN OUR WORLD ARE PART OF A HUGE BUSINESS CONSTRUCT.
Who are you in that construct. The toilet cleaner or the CEO ? What are you contributing to your country business construct?
Do you have the power to make civilians stuck in a war , told to leave their homes , understand and make a rational decision?
👀😄 rant over . Hopefully some food for thought. Feel free to respond and object ✌🏻

Simple people like you and others that support your view, just don’t understand geopolitics.
Humans have an irrational and unpredictable minority. We need control of some sort to keep order and peace amongst us so the minority doesn’t kill us all for no good reason. That’s why we have Security, Police, Secret Services, courts and justice systems, governments and military.
When one of the minority gets in to power …. That’s when shit goes wrong and conflicts or wars break out.
Today , that dangerous minority IS SUCCESSFULLY in power and as we can see , causing chaos amongst peaceful people.
We have lost the power to elect likeminded, empathetic intelligent leaders who will do the right thing for the majority , instead of only taking care of the few who paid for their opportunity to be in power.
That said … today we should fight for a regime that validates the values of US HUMANS , not a regime that seeks to take from others to enrich themselves.

Ok! I’m just an Aussie farmer who has spent everyday since 24/2/2023 watching this war, learning, reading, watching, listening to 100s of hours (from all sorts of sources) of documentaries, interviews, livestreams, history specialists , military experts, bloggers on the frontlines, political forums, UN meetings, US congressional Q&A sessions!
I can confirm that everything this video said was 100% accurate, although it could’ve been twice as long and added a lot more information, It was a good fast summary. All this information is free and available to the public here on YouTube.

Gees I love when YouTube blocks or cancels comments! 😏
Vote for who ever you need to vote for but don’t complain when nothing changes or … things change for the worst.
There is not a politician or nation leader in the world that is able to satisfy every single citizen.
Your border security issues are over hyped by media.
All any side of government has to do is pass a bill in Congress that makes it a criminal offence to employ an unregistered migrant. Bam, suddenly, there is no more incentive for them to risk their lives coming to the US. Millions of Americans benefit from the cheap cost of employing them on farms, construction trade , house cleaning and nannie work.
A wall is a waste of money. They can go over , under and even through it with the right tools. Trump keeps saying he built some 500km of new wall.
Check the facts. most of that 500km was reparations and replacement of what was already there. And Mexico hasn’t paid a cent for it like trump said he would make them .
I don’t see a politician, not even trump , in the foreseeable future that will fix your border because too many Americans , republican or democrats, benefit from the cheap labour.
Migrant crime… 😏 we are human. In every crowd , there is a bad egg.
Authoritarian nations that seek to undermine us are taking advantage of the US border security problems by pushing their own unwanted citizens, criminals and spies to cross over at any cost.
I payed attention to my government here and was critical of one side in particular and complained a lot till I started traveling paying attention to geopolitics and what was happening around the world. Suddenly, my complaints of my government seemed petty, selfish and a waste of time compared what other people have to deal with. Democratic counties are the lucky ones even if imperfect.
Good luck in November 🤷🏻♂️

@Bonehead.Boehly
Putin had been planing this “special Military Operation” for over 15years.
How many Pro Russian Separatists , from DPR LPR and Crimea, funded and armed by the Kremlin, have died on the front lines?
How many Russians Generals have died in the battle field?
How many Russian Generals has Putin replaced due to poor performance?
How many Russian Elites have been found Dead since 24th February?
How many Native Russians has Putin arrested, imprisoned, tortured , threatened , or killed under suspicion of being “foreign Agents “ since 24th of Feb?
How many countries have now decided NOT to do business with Russia?
How many businesses have close and left Russia INDEFINITELY?
How many good Russians have lost their Jobs?
How many good Russians are considering stealing simple things like BUTTER BECAUSE THEY CANT AFORD THE NEW PRICE HIKES?
How many EDUCATED , INTELLIGENT, INTELLECTUALS WHO PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN THE EDUCATION, SCIENCE, ECONOMICS, SPACE PROGRAMS, AUTOMOTIVE and CIVIL ENGINEERING have left Russia?
The ramifications of The Imperial Desire to Expand by capturing Geopolitically important Territory from Ukraine is completely baffling and unimaginable in 2022. For Centuries, long before USA or NATO existed, Moscow has fought , oppressed , murdered , raped , Ukrainians to ensure control over this land. Russian and Ukrainian Writers and historians have all confirmed this.
Today , USA and NATO , are helping Ukraine bring a stop 🛑 to this undesirable process. And the only “process“ Kremlin understands is a Military one.

Quoted from - thestrategybridge.
Dugin presents the world order as one of the Tellurocracies (Land Powers) versus the Thalassocracies (Sea Powers)—of Eurasia versus the Atlanticists. The Atlanticists, Dugin claims, are the United States, Britain, and Europe, and they seek to dominate the world through NATO and other international institutions. In the socio-political spectrum, Dugin is a traditionalist, a fascist, and an anti-Semite. In the geopolitical realm, he is an aggressive Russian nationalist. Most telling, however, is how many of his earlier strategies and destructive stratagems have come to fruition.

@feffygracie
🤔 really?????
An Australian here, following US politics and international relations since 2012 I couldn’t disagree more.
That “peaceful” 4 years during trumps term , was a lie and a complete grift to the Americans and American’s allies abroad.
Trump spent 4 years trying to align himself and the US with the very worst possible regimes. He basically invited them to increase their economic, political and civil influences within our democratic institutions all around the world but especially in Europe.
Trump is a businessman specialising in realestate.
Not a politician, not geopolitical expert, not a historian, not an economist.
He will do ANYTHING to keep his power, and increase his power and wealth. Like Putin . Like Xi. Like the Murdocks and other elites. He doesn’t care about YOU or ME. We are an instrument to his success.
You can guarantee that Biden , if his time is up in November, will peacefully hand over the presidency.
If I was a US citizens, I would be demanding that the two major parties stop trying to destroy each other and start actually working together for the people and the world. It’s very concerning to us out here to the centre of democracy in the world behave so poorly.

@carlscott7533
Pro fascist Ukrainian bots? 🤔
Ukraine manufactured the majority of the Soviet Union’s weapons. Artillery, tanks, aviation and ships. Mostly in the oblasts now under Russian occupation.
Regardless, today , Ukraine still produces over 50% of its military capabilities on home soil. There has been 7fold increase in military innovation and production in Ukraine since this invasion started Feb 2022. This much I know and understand to be true so although Russia still has a lot of power in numbers, hardware and artillery/missiles, the actual structure of the industrial sector is so corrupt that we will soon see it imploding as a result. Sanctions won’t help either.
December 2022 Russian claimed they expected a 3trillion Ruble deficit for the year 2023. In the 1st 3 months they already have a 3.6 trillion Ruble deficit 😬
Yes they can still sell oil gass to India , China and other countries but there is a big question of how and if they are actually making any profits off of those sales. If India is buying oil at $45per barrel and it costs Russia $40 to provide it, it’s not much of a profit.
Another angle, Russian demographic! A population of majority aging population in or about to retire. 38 million population already on government benefits.
Looking back at Putin’s presidency, his popularity would drop drastically every time he tried to change or decrease the pension and the benefits people were getting. They resulted each time in protests. If today’s Russian budget can’t generate enough income to pay these people, it will be very difficult to see putin get out of it alive .
BTW check out China supporting the military government in Myanmar. China supplies weapons, pays for the building of gass / oil pipelines and 2 deep sea ports that will allow China to supply itself with vital resources, bypassing the Strait of Malacca!!!
That should be interesting to see if any countries try to stop that from happening! 🤔

Depends. If you watch TASS, RT, Redacted, Scott Ritter , Gen McGregor, pro Russian bloggers….then yes all of what was said on this video is nonsense.
But if you watch - Times Radio, Ukraine Matters, Operator Starsky, Jake Broe, Denys Davidov, Good Times Bad Times , Business Basics, Joe Blogs , PERUN, McBeth , Arthur Ray , Anna from Ukraine, Inside Russia, Professor Gerdes, Silicon Curtain….. well these guys paint a different picture that is far wider and actually contain provable facts that everyone can go online and research for themselves.

@deliriummtremens
Inflation is up . Petrol , food, labour, appliances, services, insurance, tax , everything is going up.
You know what????
I DONT CARE.
I still have a roof over my head, happy family, food on the table and those few things are all anyone needs to be happy.
Everything else like heating & cooling, cars, dinner at restaurants, holidays expensive brand name clothes and accessories are just luxuries We can live without. If Ukraine can do it ….so can we. Sometimes you have to lose everything to appreciate the simple important things in life.
Go spread your rubbish taunts elsewhere.
Stop listening to news for a while and go enjoy time with your family.

@itsmike3393
Here is some information about Trump and his business with Russia from Wikipedia:
(Take it how ever you want, but that man is a threat to Ukraine’s security, sovereignty and independence from the Kremlin)
Donald Trump has pursued business deals in Russia since 1987, and has repeatedly traveled there to explore potential business opportunities. In 1996, Trump trademark applications were submitted for potential Russian real estate development deals. Trump, his children, and his partners have repeatedly visited Russia, connecting with real estate developers and Russian government officials to explore joint venture opportunities. Trump was never able to successfully conclude any real estate deals in Russia. However, individual Russians have invested heavily in Trump properties, and, following Trump's bankruptcies in the 1990s, he borrowed money from Russian sources. Both Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have said that Russia was an important source of money for the Trump businesses.
Efforts to build a Trump building in Moscow continued into June 2016 while Trump was securing the Republican nomination for the presidential election.
In January 2017, BuzzFeed News reported the existence of the then-unverified Steele dossier (also called the Trump–Russia dossier), which alleges connections between Trump associates and Russia. Trump responded the next day, and again at a February news conference, that he has no financial connections to Russia. In response to ongoing questions, White House press secretary Sean Spicer reiterated in May that Trump has no business connections to Russia. Also in May, Trump's tax lawyers sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee saying Trump had not received any income from Russian sources over the past 10 years "with a few exceptions".
Trump's pre-Presidential business dealings with Russia were scrutinized by the special counsel.[1]
In July 2018, The Daily Beast reported on a search engine optimization project intended to minimize public awareness of Trump's connections to an associate who worked on these projects with him.!!!
Yes , there is corruption and everyone know is but I think the right way to frame it is , Ukraine is being corrupted by Russia first and foremost. The last two governments have had an EXTREMELY TOUGH TIME being able to do anything about it …until 24/2/22. Now Ukraine is killing more corruption than it ever imagined. The money from the US, isn’t supposed to go directly to the soldiers as you described. It’s to refurbish, maintain and ship the 30year old equipment that was going to get scrapped anyway. Plus the cost of running logistics of this scale from America to the border of Poland and Ukraine is astronomical. I don’t think any county can or could provide their army with Every single aspect of their needs to fight a war like this one. That would require a solid infrastructure and manufacturing base that can’t be compromised. That’s just impossible, so yes, soldier are having to ask third party sources for what they need.
Slava Ukraine.
You will win in the end. Have more faith in the strength of your people.

@attilakiss6679
So happy for you that you have it all figured out and that you can show us your military knowledge and expertise.
Perhaps I should recommend that Western media outlets start interviewing YOU for professional advice on what’s happening
in the front lines,
in Ukraine, within Crimea, DPR &LPR,
to all Russian occupied territories,
to all the exploding Russian ammunition depots,
to Russians trying to help Ukrainians who have been deported to Russia but getting in trouble for doing so,
to military recruitment buildings all over Russia/Siberia bring set on fire,
to did Russia really expect NATO wouldn’t expand as a result of going in to Ukraine,
to the Russian mothers desperately writing to and calling Russian authorities trying to find out what happened to their sons and husbands who were only supposed to be gone for 3months,
to the reason why supermarkets in Russian have to keep basic items like butter in locked containers so people don’t steal them,
to why Russias strong Rupel is not good for its economy
to how Russia is trying to expand its Geopolitical influence and regain ex Soviet territory who want ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA
to why Russia shot down MH17
to how Russian plans to counter Modern equipment coming from western countries
to how Russia will cope when 10s of thousands of Ukrainians returns from western nations after being trained by REAL ARMY PERSONNEL on advanced military tactics and how to use all the modern equipment that Russia doesn’t have,
to when will Russia finally accept that this is a war not a Special military operation.
to why Russian intelligence can claim it destroyed a HIMARS SYSTEM ON THE SECOND STORY OF A SCHOOL BUILDING
to how Russia claims to destroy more pieces of military equipment then Ukraine ever had in the 1st place,
to why Russia won’t allow Red Cross, or any International humanitarian aid in to Russian occupied areas,
I can go on and on and on and on and I’m sure others could add some great valid points too.
I’m no expert but I’m not irrational about the reality of what’s happening .

@linda-qf6yh
Over a period of 40 years , not a single president has succeeded in resolving your border crisis let alone satisfying ALL American citizens with 1 or 2 terms in office. They do the best they can with an opposition party, constitutional laws and guardrails and all sorts of forces, foreign and domestic, trying to undermine them and make them look bad at every turn.
Biden made the mistake of agreeing to link border security with foreign aid. That played right in to Russian propaganda narratives and the maga narrative that there is a migrant invasion going on that for what ever reason had to be stopped now above all other issues…just not while Biden is president.
White House/pentagon is focused on gradually insulating America from external responsibilities which is probably because they have decided it’s time for the US to reboot the military industrial complex which takes years. Also means (regardless of who the president is) oil and gas production will go up, production of US goods nation wide will increase, as well as the new cheap factory labour force that is being developed in Mexico. Aka: the new China .
And BOY do you Americans put in a spectacular performance every election year 🤯😬😅. Media/TV , banners the size of entire high rise buildings, flags, mug shots, huge expensive campaigns , chaotic debates, slander, drama, political violence….its like a Hollywood movie 🍿
Watch Peter Zeihan for a VERION of the geopolitical present and future developments around the world. He does daily short videos that are at the very least educational. Careful for the AI versions of him.

@E3ECO
Ok! You are all arguing if it right or wrong .
How about I post a paragraph from Safari website.
Under the agreement, the signatories offered Ukraine "security assurances" in exchange for its adherence to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. The memorandum bundled together a set of assurances that Ukraine had already held from the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe (CSCE) Final Act, the United Nations Charter and the Non-Proliferation Treaty[2] but the Ukrainian government found it valuable to have these assurances in a Ukraine-specific document.[51][52]
The Budapest Memorandum was negotiated at political level, but it is not entirely clear whether the instrument is devoid entirely of legal provisions. It refers to assurances, but unlike guarantees, it does not impose a legal obligation of military assistance on its parties.[2][52] According to Stephen MacFarlane, a professor of international relations, "It gives signatories justification if they take action, but it does not force anyone to act in Ukraine."[51] In the US, neither the George H. W. Bush administration nor the Clinton administration was prepared to give a military commitment to Ukraine, and they did not believe the US Senate would ratify an international treaty and so the memorandum was adopted in more limited terms.[52] The memorandum has a requirement of consultation among the parties "in the event a situation arises that raises a question concerning the ... commitments" set out in the memorandum.[53] Whether or not the memorandum sets out legal obligations, the difficulties that Ukraine has encountered since early 2014 may cast doubt on the credibility of future security assurances that are offered in exchange for nonproliferation commitments.[54] Regardless, the United States publicly maintains that "the Memorandum is not legally binding", calling it a "political commitment".[25]

@buddy6743
Ok! This is my opinion and my findings from reading and research since the 24th of February 2022.
Ukraine was corrupt before Zelensky was in power !
It was corrupt before Putin was in power . It has been corrupt all the way through the existence of USSR !!!!
Only the one common denominator and problem continuously trying to Influence and rule Ukraine that makes it so corrupt- Kremlin, FSB within the SBU , Russia/ Ukrainian oligarchs and mafia/Mob.
Until Ukraine can rid itself of these leaches and gremlins…. It will be difficult for the EU to fully accept it in to its western sphere . Zelensky’ is proving to be far more productive in bringing Ukraine in to the Future of Western society then any leader before him.
He is young, intelligent, educated, well spoken and NOT AFRAID TO PUT HIS LIFE ON THE LINE FOR HIS FAMILY AND HIS COUNTRY.
Can’t say the same for old Putin . Besides Gorbachev, no Russian leader has engaged freely and publicly with his people. Their lives are secrets. Their private business has always been suspicious and some how there is this unexplained and silent disappearance or Genocide of 100s of thousands of Russians and ex Soviet Union citizens over the past few 100years. It’s no different to how China puts their Ethnic minorities through “camps” where they are tortured, raped and killed for absolutely no good reason other then they don’t want to comply with the Chinese communist regime.
Likewise : Ukraine doesn’t want to comply with the Russian regime anymore.
I know there are millions of happy Russians living happy good lives in big beautiful cities and towns, with all the modern facilities and comforts, no different to their western counterparts. I know it’s a beautiful country with amazing culture, landscapes and environment.
I know the simple country folks are lovely loving people who are just happy to exist in their old farm homes tending to their gardens and livestock .
The whole world is full of evil and corrupt individuals and minorities who generally make life a living hell for innocent civilians. Currently, there is a major evil in the Kremlin and it is the Global responsibility to contain it and discourage it from spreading and influencing other nations. Those countries that stay neutral should be carefully watching their own discrepancies.
Humanity has turned our world in to one big corporation of businesses that can’t live with or without each other. But in business, if you have a bad worker or someone taking advantage of an agreement or doing deals behind closed doors, eventually, they get found out and they have to be disciplined or fired.
There is no Future for the imperial aspirations of the Russian Empire unless they commit to full scale war against the west and actually win and survive! 🤷🏻♂️✌🏻

@alexlazar4738
Interesting 🧐!
Why do you consider Russian information to be so reliable. Fair, western media says things that can be questionable but so does Russian media.
Plus, Russia has banned any independent and mainstream journalist or media that doesn’t present what is permitted by the Kremlin.
West… well we still have the ability to hear all sides, all versions, all narratives.
I can still go out in to the Main Street and hold up blank page and not get arrested. Independent journalism is not suppressed.
The Nova Kakhovka dam was damaged by Russia previously. Ukraine targeted the weir and the elbow bend in the road going along the dam using HMARS.
Russia failed to responsibly maintain and implement appropriate water release measures that are necessary after winter melts and spring rains. There are claims that Russia did place explosives in the Hydroelectric Power Facility. Satellite imagery gives away a lot of information and unfortunately for you and I, we can’t get access to the multiple images taken every single day of every inch of the conflict, providing crucial Evidence that is clearly still classified. There is footage of CCTV cameras showing a huge explosion at this dam but it is not from this latest event. It’s an old video from November 2022. I’m not sure who did what but for the simple reason that the overall Man Made and man managed section of the hydro system was Russian control since February 2022 makes it Russia’s responsibility and Russia’s problem to handle.
Bakhmut- I know enough about Russian/ Soviet war strategy to understand that they don’t value human life. They, Putin and his oligarchy will throw a million lives at this war if it means they get to keep all occupied territory of Ukraine including Crimea.
Ukraine on the other hand has been changing its military doctrine to a western military. Mostly since 2014. Life matters. Every soldiers life matters. This is a war. Soldiers die. Civilians die. It’s tragic. So Out of all the bloggers, military minds, experts and journalists I have watched since 24th Feb 2022, Bakhmut was a strategic meat grinder for both sides but definitely to Russia’s disadvantage. Even Prigozhin admits it was a disaster. He has to preserve as many of his mercenaries as possible for his own business ventures abroad and to protect him from rivals in Russia, he has power and influence.

@antoinette3828
Yep. And he is the 1st “professional” I listened to when the full scale invasion of Ukraine started. (Had no prior knowledge or opinions of geopolitical issues at that point ). I was completely sold on his narrative and his point of view around the world, …. Till I started listening to Ukrainians fighting on the ground. Also, Estonians, Latvians, fins, Georgians, Moldovans Hungarians, Polish , and Belarusians all telling the world what Russian and Ruski Mir means to them. They don’t want it. They don’t like it. They NEVER WANT TO EXPERIENCE IT AGAIN. Only way to stop Russia using political power and propaganda against us is to use force. If force is not used … well Russia will see weakness, march on through and take over.
Anyway. Mearsheimer’s point of view is based on hearsay and interpretation of circumstances. Like all other narratives.
Morally I don’t agree with him because he accepts the right for an oppressive regime to have power, control ,negotiation rights, a voice and neutral acceptance alongside us.
We are not perfect and that’s a fact. But what is also a fact is that we have the most modern and successful system in the world today and the largest group of allied countries in modern history.

@robertsteele474
How many middle-class and affluent Russians have fled their country since the invasion of Ukraine? According to economist Konstantin Sonin of the University of Chicago, at least 200,000 have already packed their bags since the end of February, because they are revolted by the war started by Vladimir Putin, they fear for their safety or they wish to provide a better future for their children. In April, another 70,000 to 100,000 people in the new technology sector are expected to leave Russia, according to the industry trade association.
Many have gone to Israel, which makes it easy for Ukrainians and Russians alike to settle on its soil – especially when they are high-tech specialists. Others went to Armenia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and, to a lesser extent, Finland and Estonia.

Really appreciate this little insight in to your interest in war.
You are a very smart young man. Hope you never lose your cognitive function as I did from an ABI. I’m not at all military, never had anything to do with it. I’m fascinated with this conflict and all the internal and external effects it has around the world. I feel like I’m having a crash Home course in Politics, Geopolitics, rise and fall of Empires, civil engineering, military industries , history of wars , history of almost all the above, history of Ukraine, Russia , USSR Europe, Asia …. Trying to mix all that together to paint a picture in my mind of where things are at today and what could happen next.
I also imagine that, if my country ever came under threat, at the very least I would have SOME knowledge and understanding of war that could potentially save my family’s life.
I really want nothing more then to see Ukraine militarily and politically win this war. But what happens after the do ? What happens to Russia? And are we prepared for it ?

Wow! So now we are in June 2022 and nothing has changed!!!
Is anyone actually wondering why ?
Are we perhaps focusing too much on blaming each other instead of opening our eyes to the future and leaving the past behind?
The World Order and those few individuals that control it are the ones gaining unimaginable wealth from Geopolitical battles for OIL, GASS, MINERALS and WEAPONS MANUFACTURING.
They don’t care if you die . They don’t care if your village is destroyed, they don’t care if your economy collapses.
Democratic, fascists , Nazis, liberals, communists, Muslim , Christian , Catholic, Buda … all of us combined are just influential pawns ♟ in the fight for global domination!

If you have time on your hands, listen to the last two years of interviews on SILICON CURTAIN .
Real people who have lived worked , studied in Russia/soviet union, or have spent a lot of time learning, researching a range of topics related to Russian history, Europe, geopolitics, finance, economics, civil society, military … list goes on .

When one’s research is limited , one’s understanding is limited.
Ukraine has NOTHING , politically, militarily or personally to gain from carrying out such a brazen attack.
They say ISIs did it.
I will never believe it because we repeatedly underestimate the power and deep influence of the KGB/FSB around the world, from the centre of US government to, extremist groups, to Africa, to Beijing, to my country town in Australia, to all the European institutions, to the pope himself.

I’m only 4 months in to learning a lot of this about Russia, Ukraine, USA, NATO, EU, Empires, Elite families, New World Order, Geopolitics, fascist influences, Wagner Group, Oil, Gass, minerals , alloy, consumable resources, militarily powers, military strategy, military corruption, poisonings,Mafia bosses, conspiracy theories….so cut me a bit of slack ! 😅 Books can be just as one sighted or Narrated to suit a higher purpose as any TV channel, news feed , newspaper, YouTuber or social media!
We are in an information war on here.
And never ASSUME the other person writing here is ignorant or less intelligent.
Makes an ASS of U and ME ! ✌🏻😎

@alexk.6434
So you do know what is going on!! According to what the Kremlin says anyway. 😅
Kudos for at least generating an opinion.
Just because it’s about Russia, doesn’t mean we should only listen to Russians to get situational awareness.
If you follow Russian government policies over the last 25years, it should be no surprise to anyone that Russia has invaded and annexed territory from several neighbours, destroyed cities in Syria for the Assad regime, poisoned, killed, imprisoned numerous opposition and dissenting voices abroad and removed ALL liberal opposition within the country in less then desirable ways. Infiltrated international institutions, law firms, governments, military, universities promising lucrative rewards for developing business and economic dependence on Russia.
I put all this this mildly to say the lest. It is far more frightening then that in reality.

@sticky59 Lend Lease agreement! A butt load of Military and humanitarian aid that USA provided in some $64billion back in the 1940s that saved the Soviet Union from defeat against the Hitler Regime.
Research that then start to look in to how long this takes to implement, train solders to use the new military equipment, get the equipment to Poland, then have it safely arrive to the front lines without being targeted by Russian missiles. This will happen in approximately the next 2 months. They have been training for at least 3months already if not over the last 8 years. All Ukraine have to do till then is keep Russia busy and using up its military equipment, ammunition and all the young men of the DPR LPR as meat shields (Russia calls them Ukrainians on the international stage but they have Russian passports🙄). Ukraine moral is actually very high despite some media reports.
So let’s see how things are in 2months ok! Also , Russia isn’t going to be a very happy place as it plunges in to yet another recession along with the rest of us ! Can’t wait ! 😬
Russia will not prevail! Their GDP will drop by 7.8 every year for almost 1O years ( quote from Sberbank last week ).
So.., yes Russia is currently gaining incremental wins in the Donbas ( a joke compared to its original objectives). World military power No2 in the world gaining 3-5 square kilometres per day against a poorly equipped Ukraine? Can you call that a real winning situation? Russia should’ve been able to take at least half of Ukraine without difficulty in about a week. Turns out , it’s harder to take down a nation that has absolutely no intention or interest in being associated with Russia and only wants to be part of the western world. Who knows , one day in the next few decades they may even become a NATO member. given their geopolitical location the Russian empire would be able to access and influence a much larger part of the world along with China if they gain full control of the Black Sea. At least 5extra Sea ports to be able to Export Russian Grain, fertiliser, mineral, Oils, Gass weapons, ammunition you name it with a faster shorter route to the Middle East and Africa generating Trillions of $$$$ in extra revenue for… well… Putin . Let’s be honest , the average Citizen living across Siberia won’t see any benefits from the gains. Only the rich get richer.
Guess EU and USA are hell bent on STOPPING Russia from achieving this without starting a nuclear war.
