Disney has been on a downwards trajectory for quite some time now and has shown no signs of turning things around. If the company continues on its current path, it would certainly not be surprising to see it go the way of Blockbuster in the near future It is hard to deny that there are some striking parallels between Disney and Blockbuster. At their peak, both companies were the undisputed kings of their respective industries. They were known for their innovation and customer service, and had dedicated and loyal fan bases. However, just as Blockbuster failed to adapt to the changing landscape of the home entertainment industry, Disney now risks losing its leading position in the media and entertainment world. It's possible. Disney has been around for over 100 years and has survived numerous economic and cultural shifts. But if they don't adapt to the changing landscape of entertainment, they could be left behind like Blockbuster. If they fail to address the rising popularity of streaming services or the declining theater attendance, they could become just another relic of the past. Only time will tell if the Big Mouse can stay relevant in the 21st century.
