  1. I spent 30 years in the Air Force and was unaware of how serious were the early teething problems of the BUFF. I presume you know what the last "F" really stands for. 🙂 The last B-52 was manufactured in 1962. Many of the later models went through Kelly AFB for complete rebuilds and upgrades more than once. Boeing overbuilt them so well, that such a feat was made possible.
