  1. "Where in his work are disease and death, where is his sense of existential dread?" Apparently these critics never looked deeper into his canvases. There's a lot there that isn't said, but is implied. How blind must one be to view "Southern Justice" or "Murder In Mississippi" and not be moved by their implications?
