Bathroom hygiene is covered in the Bible, naturally in Deuteronomy: “Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad: And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:” (Deuteronomy 23:12 -13)

  2. As a kid growing up in rural Florida I remember seeing outhouses with Sear's catalogs and corn cobs in them. In the case of the cobs, they were normally left to soak in an old coffee can or pail full of water so they would be soft and playable. If not soaked, they were literally "rough as a cob". Once used, they were tossed down the "corn hole".
