  1. History may have repeated itself to a degree after 911. We determined our ability to replenish our anticipated expenditure of ordnance was severely hampered by the shuttering of critical explosive munition plants in the USA. Eventually we located an alternate source in England. I don't know what happened after that, but presumably we used it until domestic capability could be restored.
