  1. There are two flyspecks in Georgia about 120 miles apart named "Hopeful" and "Needmore". I always thought they should merge. Then there's Sopchoppy, FL, which is a name derived from the mangling of a the local Muskogean Indian word. Of course, growing up, we thought it might have been named after some sort of Asian cuisine like chop suey, or possibly had something to do with slopping and butchering hogs.
