He deserves his own separate video, as do many of the now forgotten Filipino and American guerilla fighters.

A M1941 Johnson light machine gun (LMG) is clearly visible in the hands of a US soldier at 13:22. This appears to be out of place because in the Pacific fighting the only US forces armed with the Johnson were Paramarines and Marine Raiders. If this snippet of video was filmed during the Battle of Manila, then it is a bit of an enigma because both forces were disbanded before the Manila fighting and no Marine ground combat units took part in the liberation of the city. The only other place I am aware of where the Johnson might have been used in urban fighting is with the combined US Army/Canadian Army First Special Service Force (The Devil's Brigade) during their campaigns in Italy and southern France.

@redaug4212 Agree. According to that fountain of information, Wikipedia, the Filipino rebels and constabulary had some, but I don't know that is possible. I read a book on Melvin Johnson and his inventions, but I don't recall any such story.
