@aliceshaw8265 Why do you feel the instant need to engage in an ad hominem attack on me? I said nothing about the LDS church nor did I imply anything about my faith or anyone else's faith. As for the sources of my information, they came from a friend of mine who is a practicing Mormon and from an old television series that recreated supposedly true western adventures. This is why I posed my remarks as both a question and a lore rather than as statements of fact. If you know the truth, please provide some useful details. If you don't know, please do not engage in character assassination of a person you know absolutely nothing about. It does you no credit.

Was he the fellow who wore a heavy buffalo coat with holsters sewn into each pocket? Supposedly, he could shake pistol balls out of the hide whenever someone took a shot at him, claiming he was protected from harm by the Lord Jehovah.

@V.Hansen. It may or may not have been his coat. I've read of at least one other individual who wore a coat with hidden holsters or false pockets (split so he could draw a pistol from his belt or pants). Have you ever heard of a gunman with the improbable last name of Outlaw? I think he wore similar garb.

I remember as a young boy in 1964 watching an episode of the CBS series "The Great Adventure" entitled "The President Vanishes", which was a reenactment of this true event. Barry Sullivan played Edwards and Leif Erickson played Cleveland.
