My Dad, who was an A&E, regarded Beechcraft as the Cadillac of light aviation. We often flew with his best friend who owned a Bonanza and later a Baron, the fastest light twin in its class. I owned a Musketeer and trained in a T-37, which was built like a tank. My brother flew King Airs. Cessnas were fast, Pipers could carry heavy loads, but a comparable Beechcraft typically did both. Of course, this performance came at a higher financial cost to the owner, but isn't that always the case?
