The only issue I have with the Terry case doesn't involve the officer safety question. As a seasoned cop who strongly felt a crime was about to take place, wouldn't it have been better if he had allowed them to proceed with their B&E (assuming no innocent people were present inside), then called for backup? He'd have had a solid case against all three suspects. Instead he gets to bust one guy for illegal possession of a firearm (that's who other issue we could spend hours debating).
