Yeah, the man's sharp as a tack. You can tell when he's speaking that he's thinking a few sentences ahead and planning all his words out carefully. It's how he discusses topics as complex as race and culture with such eloquence and aplomb!

@channalmath8628 Yeah, I agree. I graduated recently, and while the gender studies and lit departments were a shitpit, the math and science departments were nothing of the sort, and actively laughed at the nonsense of the humanities departments.

Carla D. He's talking about antifa riots in Berkeley, not anyone's race.

Man this guy seems sharp. You can tell he reads constantly and challenges himself mentally each day!

It takes practice, bud. You'll get there if you work at it. Honestly, just being able to recognize that you don't have the skills yet is better than most people will ever be, and it's the start of perfecting your abilities to speak publicly about complicated topics like this bloke!

People, wait!! I'm here from the future to warn you! I'm hooked on John McWhorter vids! Sure, it started off with just a few clips here and there when I'm with friends or have some time to kill when I'm bored, but now it's an every day thing! And hour-long podcast episodes like The Glenn Show!! I'm incorrigible! Save yourselves now while you still can!

@_Diana_S Where ya from?

I do agree, except for the "in this day and age" part. People have always sensationalized things, and we're far more literate now than before. It's just the same innate human problems and misperceptions, but in a modern-day setting.

1999? Wow, so UC Berkeley has had those types for a while now! Glad to hear you were impacted in a great way by this man; our professors can be so influential in our lives, so it's wonderful you had such a bright mind instructing you!

@girumzemichael704 I blame his linguistics background for his eloquence.

@annoyed707 I'm sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean?

@joshholden9360 Exactly! It's always been the best and worst thing about American Media, but it's better to have free media that sucks than state-controlled media that's "great."

That's my guilty pleasure, so count me in! 💪🏻
