@lemankurtz8950 Agreed. The Marxism just brings unfathomable death and destruction everywhere it's been tried. It's totally possible to build a system that works with proper incentive structures that minimise mal-adaptive economic decisions without resorting to a fantasy philosophy that has a fundamental and fatal misunderstanding of human nature, economics, culture, and psychology.

IDK if Jimmy's "voting against Medicare for All is voting for people to die" is valid or helpful. It seems hyperbolic, and just a rhetorical technique. I think (coming from someone who doesn't support the policy but LOVES working on messaging and public debate) focusing on the better world you'd be making and the benefits instead of the supposed harms of not doing it (which sounds more like a threat, whether it is or not!) would convince far more people than the alternative. @dashx1103 Yeah, but they can't let you die, they have to provide care, and you can continue to shirk those bills. I have a handful of family members, mostly uncles, who have spent their lives doing it. Also, don't just trust a study that you didn't read in full.
