Man, British humour without raucous American laughter hits differently. I'm sad now.

I don't care about no audience, no laughter after the jokes, the anxiety-inducing topic, or the fear brewing inside us. As long as that intro song still slaps, I'm good.

That hockey joke had me cackling with that underhanded delivery!

@ismaelhidalgo3131 Yeah, I see John as critiquing instead of complaining. Every so often, I get a "if you hate it so much, why'd ya come here?!?" Response, but those are few and far between. Hey, I'm only human!

This hits like he's speaking straight into my soul. I don't like it! I feel so vulnerable!! Agh!!!

Don't worry. It's not the end of the world. We just need to be concerned for our most vulnerable and stay vigilant and we'll be fine! But you're right, this fella has quite the big heart, and you can see he's hurting. 😢

@svalbard01 I'm definitely sour and salty enough to be!

As others have said, he's not eligible. I think it's a stupid rule, and I'd like to see it abolished, but until then, that Oliver/Schwarzenegger ticket ain't happening. I'd vote for it if it ever does, though! I can't for the life of me figure out how that has passed anti-discrimination muster. 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

Lori Hanks it's not about that. Remember Kennedy? Harding? McKinley? Presidents dying in office are disastrous for morale. You don't want that, man. It fucks up the whole country and freaks people out. If the president of the United States died from a pandemic disease, people wouldn't be cheering and saying, "woohoo! We resisted!" They'd be scared shitless.

I REALLY appreciate him giving us 30 seconds to be selfishly angry and have that healthy human response and get it all out. It's okay to feel this way, but we can't act on it by running around and spreading diseases. Thanks, John. You really get us people humans.

Yeah, but this virus is peanuts compared to that!

Hold your breath!

@joostbakker8710 naturalized through immigration.

@Ninchennase Exactly. 9/10 of Koreans have some sort of private health insurance, and a large percentage of hospitals there are private, and they're crushing it using a mix of competent, vigilant administration and market forces. Italy has neither, so they're fucked. We have one and a half, so we might be okay. We won't be worse than Italy, and it's certainly not a free market's fault or the education system not teaching people sanitation and hygiene.

Tucson Jim okay, there's a bunch wrong here, but I'm going to focus in on H5N1, which has killed a few hundred people in the last two decades, and is incredibly hard to transmit between humans. It's almost exclusively passed from infected birds to bird handlers, so not worth even discussing right now. Not to mention that plenty of work has been done on a vaccine for that, and IF there ever were an outbreak, it would take a few months to roll out a vaccine. That one's taken care of and researched and incredibly uncontagious. COVID19 is not.

@johnd2058 That's probably better. let the local leaders, who are closer to the issue and better able to deal with it, handle quarantines and policies like gathering. Let the feds crack down on international travel.

Tucson Jim "Very Shortly" as in 40-50 years from now? Yeah, I heard.
