  7.  @basilbat273 I'd like to encourage you to go to a large church (I'm a Catholic, so I'm partial to you going to a big, beautiful Latin Mass nearby, but honestly if it's trinitarian, they're all Gucci), so you can blend in and just listen. You don't have to participate or run up to the altar or talk to a bunch of people or play with snakes (not sure what the cult was like! 😜), and you can just quietly learn and experience Christianity as it's meant to be experienced. No pressure, no force, no manipulation, just you and God and the body of Christ for an hour or so next Sunday (or the one after if you get cold feet. 😉), and see what happens. Also, try getting Bible Gateway (the app) on your phone if you don't want to purchase a new Bible, and try reading some Proverbs (wise statements from a wise king), Psalms (beautiful poetry from a powerful warrior), and maybe some of the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). I'll be honest: there is a lot in the Bible that is not easy reading, but those passages are quite nice, and worst case scenario, you waste some time gaining some knowledge and wisdom. And something you can try now is just praying. It's really easy, you instinctively know how. God wants a relationship with you (it might not seem like it, but trust me!), so communicating with him will help heal your soul. Remember to be thankful and don't worry about holding anything back--he's heard far worse!!😆 If you have any more questions, I have the same username on all platforms; feel free to message me wherever.
