  5. He's saying he couldn't have predicted that BEFORE the disease hit. How would he have been able to predict disease before germ theory? Also, he didn't say he would be surprised they were conquered. He was surprised NONE of their civilizations survived.

Christianity didn't invent that, christianity didn't enforce that, any more than everyone else did in every other region of the world. You need to remember that equality is a VERY novel idea. It's not a guarantee. It's not our default state. We created an equal world.
