  1. Keep in mind there are four different Herods in the Gospels. The Great Antipas Agrippa Archelaus Phillip. Wait, that's five. 🤦🏼‍♂️🙇🏼‍♂️ Basically, the Jews in Judea at that time were a bit rebellious, and Herod the Great did a better job of tamping that down than his successors did. One of his sons lost his realm due to a rebellion. It's complicated, and I forgot half of it. I've gotta go brush up!
