  2. What if you just allow people to voluntarily trade with whoever they want? Why the demand for central planning? Just let each company trade with whatever other company it would like. Both parties benefit, as it is a voluntary trade that's mutually beneficial since both parties value what they're receiving higher than what they're giving away. The solution is more economic freedom, not less. That being said, yeah, investigate those shift CCP bastards. I love China, and I adore the Chinese culture and history, and the language is magnificent. Those people deserve better treatment than what they're getting from Uncle Sì. Hopefully a serious investigation will be a crack that causes the CCP to collapse!

  10.  Juanito G  Well, bombs falling from the sky have a higher fatality rate than a virus with around a .5% fatality rate, so that's one reason. The other, which is likely less important elsewhere, is that the wartime powers gives the executive branch (in America, mind you) more control in war scenarios, but the pandemic legality is far less convincing, hence why we're starting to see legal challenges being made towards the states and won as a result! Ultimately, the oversimplification of two extremely different circumstances is the issue there.

  11.  Juanito G  Again, that's not a good comparison. I said fatality rate, not raw numbers. Getting COVID has a mortality rate of about .5% on average, much lower for young people, much higher for old people. Getting hit with a bomb is close to 100%. Now, for another issue with the analogy, when Germany bombed at night, they pulled everyone in to stay safe. They were bombing for a finite amount of time each day. COVID is a constant spread. There is no benefit to a curfew. It would take FAR more government power to enforce a 24/7 lockdown than it would to lock down for 8 hours a day. See? There are numerous reasons why this isn't a good comparison.
