@HarryC-Smith Obvious troll is obvious.

It was never about equality.

No, it doesn't. Women were caring for their kids in the early 1900s. Women didn't start seriously working in large amounts until the 60s and 70s.
3
That second sentence is the feminism part. As was the fourth.
3
@harnessriscallous7466 I think they can both work harder and be far more cutthroat.
3
It's almost never true.
3
Didn't you hear? Men should just invent a new role in two generations after 200,000 years of evolution into the roles we had! How hard can it be?
3
A good wife won't leave you for needing glasses.
3
No, it's some kind of evolutionary role we evolved over thousands of years.
2
Well, he never said that, soooo....no?
2
Also, you can't invent a new role in two generations after 200,000 years of evolution put you in the role you inhabited.
2
@denellsullada7697 What? No. They didn't. Even before industrial revolution. Even before agricultural revolution!
2
@alexkavo8930 Sure it does. It supports a binary. "Rigid" is a subjective term. "Concrete" is the term we should use here. Division of labour and gender roles have been present in all successful civilisations. Literally every example you just gave does as well.
2
@barbarajones9385 Hilarious that you think it only worked well for half of people when we survived and thrived for millennia. If it only works for half of us, we would not have been so successful as a species and as a civilization. You are standing on the shoulders of giants and assuming you are flying. Get rid of those Giants and then see what happens to your civilization. Now we live in a world where women are more unhappy than ever, both in absolute terms and in comparison with men. Here is your Utopia; congratulations.
2
"Using" is amoral. He means using them for abusive and manipulative purposes. Those other blokes mean a mutually-beneficial relationship. You "use" the husband to get money to buy clothes for the kids and groceries for the week, and you provide an invaluable service to him in the process. That's how healthy marriages work.
2
Yeah, she shat the bed on this one. Why do people forget we evolved over hundreds of thousands of years to fit these roles and act like we can just change in a generation or two.
2
Stats and data are what we're using.
2
Did Kim seriously say men should just invent a new role in two generations after 200,000 years of evolution that put us in the roles we had? Why do people keep pretending we aren't biological beings?
2
That's weak, though.
2
It's not bigoted to understand hundreds of millennia of human evolution and to understand rapidly changing that will be disastrous.
1
Yeah, just change 200,000 years of evolution in a generation. Brilliant! Hey, while you're at it, start drinking milk if you're lactose intolerant. If you're depressed, stop! If you can't walk, stand up! You can just change biological reality if you want! Just click your heels together and truly believe!
1
Many will say yes, but they would never.
1
@invisibleman4827 Walking away from every argument is absolutely weak. You have to stand up for yourself eventually. You can't retreat forever!
1
@HarryC-Smith Well-played. Still in character.

Women are less happy in the workplace. As they've started working outside of the home, happiness and fulfillment among women has plummeted, both in absolute terms and relative to men.
