  1. I've been muted or temp banned on Facebook for calling someone a "freaking idiot," but when I had someone tell me he knows my address and say he was coming to kill me, Facebook said, "Not all rude content is against the rules, and we've decided to do nothing" or something like that.

  2. Tell him St. Thomas Aquinas said that while humans have "rational souls," animals were given "sensitive souls," which gives them some sense of identity and feeling, even if it's less-developed than ours, and they do deserve to be treated with respect. That might help.

  12. Do we really need to blame Elon for the cat blender videos? It seems like people are mostly just upset that regular people can post and do community notes without being banned as easily, and the cat blender evil stuff is the excuse. That was there before Elon! It should still be banned, but it seems that's not all that most people complaining about Elon want banned.
