@Melissa-Isaiah61BeautyforAshes You know nothing of Catholicism, and you slander the Bride of Christ.

That's how Judaism works. Catholicism is in no way similar. We are encouraged to read the Bible daily.

@justinfair5216 That passage is not about the Church. Again, you can't just pick sentences and declare them to be about what you want them to be about. That's just a passage hinting at the future abolition of dietary restrictions we see come into fruition with St. Peter in Acts.

@uchennanwogu2142 Are you Igbo?
2
@uchennanwogu2142 It figures. Igbos are some of the best Christians. I'm sure there are some bad ones, but every Igbo I've ever met has been an absolute Mensch. Great people, good stock, hard-working, intelligent. I admire you and yours. God bless you! 😁👍🏻

That's literally Judaism in a sentence.

@leenieledejo6849 This is how you get 30,000 Protestant denominations. Because everyone does what is right in his own eyes, reading scripture and leaning on his own understanding, and disagreeing with each other (not possible if it's actually the Spirit!) Christ gave us a Church for a reason. It's not for us to ignore and then try to divine our way around and pretend it's somehow inspiration.

Israel is the Church now. Gotta read your Romans.

Very..."Reformed" thinking there. Convincing and apologetics are hugely beneficial for Christendom.

@uchennanwogu2142 Very Methodist line of thinking. Interesting soteriological diversity in this comment section today!

@justinfair5216 And here we have the Charismatics chiming in. A little cringe, usually, but not a bad thing. Now let's see if a cessationist shows up. Edit: It's me. I'm the cessationist. 😎

@justinfair5216 "Where three or more are gathered" is about Church discipline, not what makes up the Universal Church. John 17 is important.

@uchennanwogu2142 I'm just joking around. 😉 You can see my other comments in the thread. It's a follow-up.

@jaredhill4425 Jesus at the Great Commission made evangelism our job.
1
@justinfair5216 Right. That's where Jesus tells Peter He's founding His Church on him.

We (Christendom) have the best Messanic Jewish Christians going out there, witnessing to the lost practitioners of Rabbinicalism, and the best Arabic Christians witnessing to the lost practitioners of Mohammedism. So many reasons to be positive about the future! 😁😁👍🏻 ✝️☦️✝️

@kaileyjacomet4660 Catholics don't preach a different jesus. Evangelicals just have no knowledge of Catholicism besides conspiracy videos, and they tend to be completely ignorant of Church history, so they see Catholic practices, which have existed since the beginning, as foreign to them. You see something similar with the books the Protestants removed from the Bible.

@Newstradamus.77 Christ came to found a Church. You must belong to it. You can't be a Christian at your potential apart from the Church
1
@pD5V0DdsaoVhq You have to put tradition over the Bible, because the canon of scripture is a tradition!
1
@eamonob84 They always do that. Have you noticed they never know anything about Catholicism, and just blindly believe anything negative they're told about the Church?
1
@albertosoto6213 Christianity is a religion, according to James.
1
@LoloDudoy Israel in the New Testament is talking about the Church, not the secular state that wouldn't exist for another 1900 years
1
@theeternalsbeliever1779 Who chose which books were canon in the Bible? Don't hurt yourself thinking too hard about this one.
1
@christsavesreadromans1096 Get him! Kick his ass!
1
7:51 Good grief! Is that guy on the left the biggest Jew in the world, or is everyone else just short?
1
@tateffer Cope harder with your fake religion. We're closer to Abraham than you'll ever be apart from Christ.
1
@roems6396 What are you basing this off of? This is reddit-tier dialogue coming from you. Can you do a single chin-up?
1
@fivebooks8498 No, we don't teach that. We teach he fulfilled it.
