Maynard Frith You're arguing against a straw man. Democrats aren't half the things you're accusing them of being. I'd recommend meeting more people. You sound like you don't spend much time with people of differing political beliefs. If your political opponents stop sounding like other humans who disagree and more like festering demons that personify everything you believe to be evil, you've stopped dwelling in the realm of reality.

Maynard Frith Why are you trying to deflect with whattaboutism? He brought up some big issues with the GOP and your rebuttal was basically admitting it and saying the Dems do the same thing but worse. This bloke obviously doesn't care for the "lesser of two evils" idea that the duopoly pushes every four years.

@vcyre Exactly. You offered a refutation to OP's point: Republicans don't care about liberty. Any attempt to rebut that statement has to argue that Republicans DO care about liberty. Instead, all you'll get is deflection and pivoting and finger-pointing. I swear to God, Trump irreparably damaged the Republican party. Ten years ago, you would've gotten some sort of a decent reply. Not anymore!
