@mmgmd818 She went to a fancy school in Montreal and had a nanny and her parents were both professors.

@oligarchies Sliding percentage, then.

@ZzZ-qd1zo No. Not even close. You're so far off the mark, you'll never understand what's happening here. You'll just keep looking around, confused.
5
@zaydeshaddox7015 These people don't actually understand econ, it seems... Just a bunch of envy.
2
@GraveSalad He never did that. 🙄🙄🙄
2
The problem is entitlements and handouts are >1/2 of non-discretionary spending, and defense is <1/4.

@bobbyfartz5591 It's where he comes from, I guess. It's how I dress, because it's how my people dress. That's the dress of the upper-middle class. Nothing wrong with it.

I don't think that's as much the case. I don't see the hate towards the $10,000/yr on the right at all. It seems to be the person making $0/yr and getting the rest from us, as well as hatred towards those who make $1,000,000,000/yr. You've got an actual populist movement building on the right that's rapidly hating corporations due to not just economic issues, but social issues, and using that would be very beneficial for the common man.

@Brian-dg3gh Bingo. Too much free shit being handed out to people who don't produce anything--at the top or the bottom.
1
@jamesheuer5139 The upper class pays the overwhelming majority of tax revenue. That's just not true. The 1% pay 45% of all tax revenue, and the top 10% pays 60% of all tax revenue and 76% of income taxes, and about half of all people in America pay practically no taxes. That whole quote is pretty much a lie.
1
@nunofyrbusiness8576 There is, but it has to be local in order to have some degree of accountability.
1
@worschtebrot No, he's right. Billionaires and the non-working poor both are more likely to vote Blue
1
@thearabianmage He's taking issue with it because leftism, to some degree, is often based on envy, not compassion. He's angry that Brian dresses nicely and appears to be more successful than him.
1
@Here4TheHeckOfIt That's not true, either. Defense is about 1/4 of non-discretionary spending. Handouts and entitlements are half, so twice as much.
1
@tropistan7735 I picked up on it immediately. He doesn't have calloused hands.
1
@nopenoperson9118 "The current thing" is killing left-wing populism.
1
@lady_draguliana784 That's not what "the current thing" means. It's not about events, it's about signaling the correct position on what's currently being pushed as important. i.e. the people who immediately switched from being super into COVID and vaccines and masks and quickly became big into supporting Ukraine.
1
@Ketowski The rich are just less likely to commit murder and violent crimes. That's largely why they aren't as plentiful in jails.
1
@dustinDraig Someone who has no job and just picks up a free check.
1
@mandisaw No. I know these people. They voted for Clinton in the 90s and Gore and Kerry in the aughts. They switched for Trump. Many of them are union guys, blue collar working class, (etc.) They all say they hate the forever wars and hate the social positions of the Dems and feel left behind, and saw a rising populist sentiment on the right and got involved. That's how Trump won, and how he'll likely win again. You still don't understand them. 🤷🏼♂️

I promise you they don't want you dead. They just don't care about you enough to think about you at all. They're literally not even thinking about you a single bit. This comes across as narcissistic, tbh. I'm so far right, I support monarchy, and I don't even know who you are or want you dead unless you murdered or SAd someone. I promise you we're not even thinking about you enough to wish harm on you. We do see that the left is extremely homicidal once they get power, though. The "rich" will eventually be anyone who owns anything at all, and then mass famines happen and so on and so forth. Basically, we don't even think about you, but we do worry that the far left wants us dead, and for good reason. Nationalist-Populism is no threat to you.

@littlemissmello A trans shooter literally shot up a Christian school...

This isn't true. The 1% pay 45% of all taxes, and the top 10% pay 60% of all taxes and 76% of income taxes. Half of the country pays nearly no taxes. Why make things up? That hasn't ever been true. Rich people always pay the most taxes.
1
@kleckerklotz9620 Mass migration is class warfare.
1
@X2LR8 Bingo. That's what the Left keeps missing. They want to crush the middle class, too, apparently.
1
@macersracers7459 Are you in a big, expensive city?
1
@patrickkelley4653 The middle class is shrinking due to upward mobility, though. If the middle class shrunk, and the upper class grew, that means some people moved up. The poor didn't grow in size in the same period of time.
1
@patrickkelley4653 They still pay the majority of tax revenue.
1
@lycaeonia No, he's right. Class isn't and has never been about income. Class is something deeper than that. You can tell when you interact with old money Vs new money.
1
@xtinkerbellax3 Rule of thumb: almost everyone you meet who hates welfare queens hates them because we have a cousin or uncle who abuses the system, and we've seen it happen for decades.
1
@Ciscorios28 Zero people paid those top marginal tax rates. Tax revenue has gone up since the rates were lowered.
