@Pedroleum100 It doesn't matter if the popular vote doesn't win. Federalism isn't about popular opinion. It's about districts being represented, therefore emphasizing the importance of local governments. The federal government shouldn't be the sort of thing that should need a general election. Minimizing the role of states in electing the federal government weakens them, pushing more of governance on the Feds and creating a stronger, more tyrannical federal gov. I couldn't care less about the popular vote. It doesn't matter. This isn't a democracy, and it never was, and it never should be. If you want a popular vote, vote for your mayor.

Bingo. Have you seen how Maine and Nebraska work?? That's how we all should work. I did the math, and it would've been a tie had that happened, though.

Ha! No. Proportional representation solved these problems. You're arguing that gerrymandering changed the results of the national election, which is a claim that needs extensive data to prove it. Then, you're using that unsupported claim that's difficult to verify to justify "simplifying" it in such a way that destroys the entire point of the system existing. No deal.

@Pedroleum100 Why would that mean it's not the right system? It's representing mor municipalities.

@rothvonhoyte Because we have a federalist system, not a democracy. It's not about the individual and it never has been.
