  2.  @tracewallace23  The "epidemic" was started by bureaucratic busybodies cutting people off of medicine because they thought (despite have zero years of medical training) that too many people had these scripts. There wasn't an issue before people were getting cut off and moving to street heroin. People rarely ever OD on a pure pharmaceutical, and the addiction rates from legitimate prescriptions are vanishingly low.
