@gregorysmith6459 There are 5x as many white people in America than black people. Come on, man. Basic math. Proportions. If 2x as many white people are killed in total (not saying that's accurate, just borrowing those #s from you) and there are 5x as many white people in general (≈65% non-hispanic whites, 13% blacks), then you still have black people being killed at a higher rate proportionately by about 2.5x. Understand?

There are no laws defending this. Even if he did steal something, they can't detain him With guns unless they witnessed him committing a felony. And no, trespassing doesn't count. What he did wasn't even considered trespassing by Georgia law. I get what Michael is saying with "how is this okay?" But it's not. It's illegal, none of us (who are decent) think it's okay, and I'm glad we can use this as a litmus test to separate the wheat from the chaff while we lock these two guys up. I agree with Ben Shapiro, though. Expect this to be like the Ryan Scott case: trial, conviction, prison, no media attention after. The media will only talk about this if they think it will divide us. Let's not let it!
