Comments by "" (@MeanBeanComedy) on "Joe Asks Bernie Sanders "Is There a Solution to Mass Shootings?"" video.
Why are people still pushing the "no background check at gun shows" myth?

@raidenkeify They had almost no mass shootings before the ban also.

@franquil85conn around 9,000 people are killed by handguns. 150 by "assault weapons."
6
@cp3190 Wait, you think tyranny is NOT taking people's money and redistributing it? Are you being serious?
4
@timmacsweet131 Bernie said that in the video we all just watched. Within the first 2 minutes.
3
@ThachosenJuan21 True, but Republicans are still falling all over themselves to ban it and make excuses for why that's not gun control.

Well, violent crime has fallen dramatically since then, so all the people complaining about "kids these days" and "social media" in these comments need to realize that. Also, Columbine was before social media took off.
2
@FishyBusiness69 America is about average compared to Europe per capita in mass shooting deaths.
2
@franquil85conn I know, bud. I just wanted to give you concrete numbers for next time. Truth will win in the end, hopefully!
2
@scoobtay we know there's no gun registry, and for good reason. But there's still a background check.

@cp3190 You seem to not understand how drug creation, discovery, and invention works. America creates and discovers and innovated the majority of medication the world uses. The high prices are to recoup the costs that went into R&D. Your country didn't invent any of those drugs, so they don't have any costs to recoup. People don't have a choice to pay taxes, which is the difference between the state and whatever business you're angry at this week.

@Stephen-gl5wu So true!! I've sworn to never say any of their names again. It feels better letting the shooters fade into obscurity while we mourn the victims.
1
@Kaergaard Yes. About half as much violence as the 90s.

This isn't about semantics. It's about the fact that no one in America should be trusting the government to be the only ones with weapons. Especially a government as corrupt as ours. Right now, the progressive argument is: "The police are violent and racist... And they should be the only ones with guns." Fuck that noise. The vast majority of shootings happen with handguns, but politicians know people won't hand those over, so they're trying to be tricky by fooling folks into thinking that sporting rifles are exceptionally dangerous when they're not to start the total banning process. I'm not having it

@NothingItsJustNo There is no gun show loophole!
1
@cp3190 They got their money through voluntary exchanges by offering a good or service that a customer valued more than his or her money. Do you even understand how an economy works? Voluntary association isn't tyranny.
1
@Wicaeed1 I never said they were, but every tax on them is a tricky way to add an extra tax on us through higher prices, lower wages, and lower returns on our investments. Any way you remove value from the market, it's going to end up being paid by Joe and Jane.

@Yoko.Kurama It's any weapon with two attachments. I know, it's a nonsensical term that has nothing to do with safety.
