Yeah, the funny part is that it's not "your" job, and it never was. It was just a temporary agreement between two parties with both being able to opt out whenever they please. One of them did. That's all.

ALL HAIL SATAN I'm basing it off of the FBI's crime database. The media makes its money scaremongering and exaggerating crimes. Your source is....? What? You dun seen't it? We measure crime as X/100,000. You have no way of keeping track of those numbers as just yourself, and your own confirmation and selection biases will fuel most of your "research." Find a peer-reviewed source as your info and people will start taking you more seriously.

ALL HAIL SATAN Source? Violent crime has been falling since the 90s, and is now as low as the 60s. I can link my source here: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/ucr Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program Ask a cop? They know crime is falling too. I know about 4. They all constantly say that if you look at the broad scale, crime is declining, both violent and property crimes. You're, once again, just using selection bias and confirmation bias.

@Keihryon None of the above. Looks like all that time you spent training to be able to leap to conclusions didn't pay off. F.

@John Frylock are you sure replying to the right person? The far right isn't claiming crime is declining. Their platform is built on fearmongering and lies about minorities driving up crime rates.

@darklord220 "in the real world," AKA arbitrary restrictions on employment that hinder people from getting employed in the first place. It's a voluntary contract. Both can opt out whenever they please. They don't have to keep paying you to do something they don't want you to do anymore, and to force them to is robbery.

Bimz _#_ right after "why," you made a colossal inference that you provided no evidence for. People aren't exactly coming here with a dollar anymore. Ellis island closed decades ago. People can really only get in here if they're rich, educated, related to someone already here, or win the lottery. The Olden days are long gone. So your entire premise is based on a claim that hasn't been true since our grandparents' day. The real issue is a changing national and global economy that these people either can't or won't adapt to. They're still living 20th century lifestyles in a 21st century world. You can't just graduate high school and get a job that will buy you a house and feed an entire family. It doesn't work like that anymore. You have to make your own way in a 21st century economy and discover a new path to success, and they haven't figured out how yet. Mostly because no one has told them how. (and no, a 45 year-old coal miner can't just learn HTML or jQuery and become a well-paid computer scientist. There's no reason to attribute economic malaise in certain areas to racism outright. Assuming the worst in hundreds of thousands of people you've never met doesn't help anyone. They do need to adapt, but their issues aren't living next to a black family or a Mexican family. Their issues are figuring out how to make a living with a high school education and a lifetime of experience in a rapidly dying field.

ALL HAIL SATAN it's lower than it's been for decades.

@Docmajor16 A+ rebuttal right there. I didn't even see it. Just rolled my eyes and scrolled. The ole roll & scroll.

@ryeuhnbrus8287 Yes. You don't have a right to demand another party pay you to do something someone else will do for cheaper. Either become more skilled so an average non-citizen can't beat you at your task, or diversify. It's comparative advantage. If someone else does your job better or more efficiently, why should a business piss away money for you to pad your pockets? You're the one worrying about an illegal taking your job. Maybe you should do some reading on free market economics and the positive nation-wide benefits to free movement and the boon to economic development and overall quality of life for the entire country. And quit basing your arguments like my average high school dropout uncles on Facebook angry at the world and afraid of development. You're a candlemaker, and Edison just made a huuuuuuge breakthru. You can either plead and beg Uncle Sam to confiscate more money and hold back the economy so you can stay relevant, or you can learn and adapt like an adult. Your call.
