I really hope you haven't finished high school yet and you're taking civics next semester, because we don't live in a democracy and we never did and we were never intended to. This has always been a Federalist system where the states vote on the president. That was the initial idea, and it's how the system works currently, as intended.

There have been far more contested elections for the executive in our nation's history. Stop acting like the system working as designed is some sort of mistake. The popular vote is irrelevant, and it always has been. Sorry the coastal elites don't get to pick the president each cycle. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  11.  @mocro1mobile  Nah, man. It's not as much of a runaway election as the media is pretending. Trump stands a serious chance. These polls are wonky. Some of them have Trump winning only 76% of the Republican vote, despite having >90% support among the GOP. Reps have registered more voters than Dems in swing states, and the early voting isn't enough of a Dem landslide to outweigh the imminent Election Day Republican deluge. Also, colleges being closed has decimated the youth vote. Things are looking good, chief. 😁👍🏻
