As I have said elsewhere, in view of the definition of "Democracy" as being the "rule of the people by the people" and seeing that the definition of a "populist" is a politician whose policies or proposed policies appeal to the broad public, using the term "Populist" as a term of denigration or in a dismissive way, is Anti democratic.

  4. Since the politicians in charge are clearly a disaster, their attempt to assassinate their opponent, is a measure of how insecure they feel. They don't want a new administration rummaging around in the cupboard where they store all the skeletons!
