  1. 4:2`1 I thnk that the first cause of the loss of respect is the way they proclaim noble-sounding goals and then invade countries and simply wreck them and leave them far worse off than they were before. To make matters worse, more damaging for their prestige, they don't seem to benefit from their actions. The two other most important ways, that the US loses prestige, is by grandiose public statement of the utmodst arrogance and hypocrisy. Their public figures regularly proclaim their country to be "a shining city on a hill, that the rest of the World wants to emulate" and then people see pictures of magnificent American cities full of homeless people, criminals and potholes> They read about Flint, Michigan, where the drinking water is poisonous. Where people go bankrupt for falling ill. Where the police kill people at a rate of 1000 a year. At the same time this is one of the rich countries of the World.
