  1. To some extent the technological development of the World will, I think, inevitably favour the breakdown of borders. Just as the difference in the way the Welsh the Scots and the Irish speak more standardized English as the result of Television since 1946 and the internet has facilitated the spread of ideas and friendships across the globe, so I think the spread of high-speed railways across EurAsia and Africa will, over time, also have a similar effect. Another phenomenon that is aiding the integration of people all across the globe is the way that English (Or American.) has become a lingua franca.

Off topic: it has just occurred to me that the "Woke" movement is a sort of overshoot from an unduly repressive and censorious past and will, probably, over time, correct itself, as people get fed up with its present gross idiocies. The "new equilibrium" will be, probably, more favourable to women, minorities and abnormal sexual self-perceptions than the previous climate was, but will be shorn of the more idiotic "corrections" of the present day.
