The US announced that it was going to compete with the Chinese in building infrastructure throughout the global South. It looks as though that is going to fall victim to the current financial crisis in the CW, but so far there has been some talk, but almost nothing has been built. Meanwhile the Chinese have built railways, tunnels, docks, roads, hospitals and schools worth multiple billions of dollars and are looking to build more.

As witness the illegal occupation of Syria and Iraq, as witness the attack on Haiti, as witness the illegal Sanctions on all sorts of countries. China and Russia are, as far as I can remember not doing any of these things. This is NOT a "trap", it is simply these things coming into common view and general discussion. The Chinese and Russians talking about them, is hardly surprising, why would they not? After all they are continually bad-mouthed by the CW and its tame media.
