1:00:02 I can't reassure you that this is "the darkest hour before dawn" but there are huge changes afoot that have not been touched on in this program e,g. the rapid decline of the dollar and a backlash over the Pandemic and the way it was mis-handled. There is also the accellerating shift away from the domination of the MSM. Partly your's and Alex's work, for which many thanks!

12:20 Gorbaschov's ideas if followed, would have meant less arms being ordered and hence less money for the shareholders and other beneficiaries of the arms industry, the conress-critters and the lobbying industry and their dependents. That is beyond doubt, one reason why there was a backlash agains Gorbaschov's ideas in Washington. Another, reason was that Gorbaschov's iniative, largely removed the raison d'etre for NATO and the US armed forces. The third and in my view the most important reason for the pushback was the perrenial desire in Washington, to conquer, dismantle and loot, Russia.

51:43 It is no longer the case that one needs "to defeat Russia", because Russia is not isolated. China, Iran and North Korea can all see that they would be next, or nexr but one or two. (So could India, if they were not so arrogant) Since the faiure in Ukraine the whole enterprise looks more and more like a sick fantasy.

36:28 To my mind, the problem was not so much good ideals leading to bad consequences, as the attractiveness of good ideals, being used to disguise entirely selfish, hegemonic, political and commercial aims.

39:10 The thing which has freed up the majority of the countries in the UN, to an extraordinary extent , is the failure of NATO in Ukraine. That this "Greatest and Most Powerful Military Machine That The World Has Ever Seen" has been shown up as a paper tiger, has had an electrifying effect on the way countries have been willing to say "No!" to US demands, like never before.

@Xaq_udirir Yes! It really underlies the whole of the Cold War and "Russophobia".

48:57 The "leaders" of the Collective West are quite clearly a collection of US (Neo-con, Neo-lib) puppets. I see no other way to explain their actions.
