  3. 35:22 It seems to me that the situation you are describing; where the US troops are back to where they were in, say,1990, and Europe was not threatening Russia, would now be inadequate. Suppose the US pulled out of Europe completely and Europe was, so to speak, pacified, That would still leave US bases all around the Central Asian states and China; and how long would it be, before the WoWs would be up to their old tricks? IMHO the settlement has to be more "Root & Branch" than that and given the disarray that the US/NATO is in at the moment, there is a once-in-a-century chance for the Russians and the Chinese to make it happen without a war.

  5. At the moment, 28/11/23, The Russians and the Chinese together, have overwhelming military strength, even without roping in allies, that I am sure would support them. They can therefore force changes, even radical changes on the administration in Washington, even to the extent of breaking up the cosy little "MIC - Lobbyist+MSM -- Congress - USG - back to MIC", vicious circle that exists today and seems set to last for ever.
