I can't agree that Today we are "back to where we started from"! There has been a huge change in the time since David "Porky" Cameron was PM! China has grown enormously in strength and reolution and more importantly still the whole Ukrainian affaire has moved on tremendously and Russia has just about defeated the "invincible" NATO. Things in the Middle East are totally different too.

Looking back over the period from 1945 to the present day; it seems to me that there was a very optimistic feeling in Britain after the war and each government since has gradually whitled that away. Though I did not like her at all, i must admit that there was a sort of surge of optimism for a short while under Thatcher, which quickly, disipated under Blair and things have contued down as before. since. All that time, the Britis government has been, more or less, a puppet of the warmongers of Washington. As Kissinger said, being a friend of the USA is fatal. what we are waiting for now is the Coup de grace.

What you ask is in it for Porky? Well, suppose there might be a vote of "No Confidence" in Snooky, then maybe Porky, (sorry!) Lord Porky might become PM, again?
