"We", the Collective West are in Ukraine to further the US's plans to conquer Russia, to carve it up into smaller, more manegable-sized countries and loot it to their hearts content and get "wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice". We are doing this for reasons which are beyond stupid. This war could very easily spiral out of control into WW3. This war and the Sanctions that it is designed to justify, have wrecked the EU's economy, for years to come. The whole project is built on the West's own propaganda and wishful thinking. It is clear that NATO (The CW.) does not have the strength neccessary to conquer Russia, so what chance does it have against the Combo of Russia, China, Iran and North Korea? Not Very Good, I should think. Meanwhile the Ukrainian government, seems to go along with Lindsay Graham's idea of "fighting Russia to the last Ukrainian". Fine for LG, but an enormous, devastating tradgedy for Ukraine.

  3. All the countries of the Collective West are being "run" (If that is the right word!) by nonentities. There is a striking lack of anyone that could be fairly described as "great". Businesses are largely run by accountants, who are chiefly concerned the next quarter's figures. I have been increasingly puzzled by this phenomenon. I wonder, to what extent this is a symptom of a widespread addiction to cocaine amongst our rulers? I used to think that it was just me, getting fussy in my old age, but I find that there are other people who are noticing the same things and no one contradicts this viewpoint. So, what is the reason? I have just watched a video made by an ex-marine (US) who is living in Thailand and he describes how the same thing is happening there and he shows how and why it is happening. The purpose of the New Cold(?) War is the same as the first; to enrich the US arms industry.

  5. 14:04 "Nothing is going to change" I don't agree with you there. Things across the World are changing very rapidly. I have no idea how these changes are going to affect you and me and the rest of the UK, but have an effect they certainly will! De-dollarisation, the setting up of BRICS, the defeat and disarming of NATO in Ukraine, the Disgusting Scenes in Gaza and their effect in the ME and across the World (Including in the US!) the de-industrialisation of Europe, All of these things are going to have an effect, though it's beyond me to say what it will be.

  6. I don't know how it is in the RAF, but in the army, to become an officer you need to be from a rich family. The way poor, bright, lads are filtered out, is very simple, officers' mess fees are more than a second lieutenant's salary. So already, the intake is restricted and the result is a quite extraordinary number of really stupid people in senior positions. In my NS, I met only one really intelligent officer and one moderately intelligent one and far too many prize idiots. The intelligent one, whose mother, BTW, was Indian, left to join the Gurkars. These days, I see only soldiers turned politician and those that act as TV pundits and they are no more impressive than the officers I encountered as a squaddie, Do you, by any chance, understand why the British government is so obssessive about capturing Crimea? Is it something to do with revenge for the defeat in the Crimean War? If not, what is it about?
