It seems that reactionaries tend to put their faith in Wunderwaffen. The Germans did it in WW2. First they thought that the Blitzkrieg, would bring the UK to the negotiating table. It nearly did but they reckoned without the hatred they had stirred up. Then they thought that their superior Luftwaffe would destroy the RAF. Because the UK had a brilliant General in Dowding and brave and generous pilots, that did not happen. Then they thought that the V1 would bring the UK to its knees. It didn't. Then the V2 was going to do it. It didn't. They were using some of their best scientist to research flying saucers and thought transference. They still lost the war. They even declared war on the US!
In Ukraine, the war was going to be decided by Javelins. (Some Ukrainians actually named their new-born children after this WW!) Then it was the Stinger. Then it was the Turkish Bayrackter Drone. Then the HYMARS. Now we have the Storm Shadow and the Patriot. After that comes the F-16. What the NATO forces really need is old fashioned artillery shells and this, it seems, is impossible to obtain in time. The Russians on the other hand have no Wunderwaffen. They have heavy, old fashioned, hardwearing artillery, masses of ammunition, masses of tough old fashioned tanks, masses of accurate guided missiles, masses of accurate guided bombs, masses of lethal drones and masses of observation drones and motivated soldiers and they are winning. None of the Wunderwaffen so far has helped to turn the tide of war, which the Russians have been "losing" all along. Strange that. Innit?

1: 58 This is not really a correct assessment of the situation, The "dwindling" supplies are not caused by lack of interest on the part of the Collective West(CW). The "Dwindle" is caised by the CW running out of armarments to send to the Ukrainians. Over the past decades the arms industries of the European countries, have largely been taken over by the US arms companies (Rationalization) and closed down to prevent them competing, with the result, that the manufacturing capacity has greatly diminished from what it used to be. Another cause, is the energy to drive these industries and a lot of the raw materials has been sourced from Russia and a lot of the supply chains have been sent to China to avoid making greenhouse gases in Europe and the USA.
Further, the CW's arms industries are run like almost all Western industries, by accountants and as a result, anything that was not particularly profitable, was either closed down and sold off or diverted into making something more profitable. So things like 155 mm shells, which were run-of-the-mill products, that fetched a not very high price and no "excitement" and for which, in the years of peace, following the Soviet collapse, there was only a small market, are now hardly made in the CW at all. New machine tools, needed for making shells, would need to be made anew and the majority of machine tools are currently made in China. To make things like shells you need skilled workers, skilled inspectors, tightly controlled factories, skilled engineers, and a whole gamut of other skills. Without these, you will lose whole factories, in a large puff of smoke. So, it will take time to rebuild the CW's capacity.
It might be much better, quicker and cheaper to negotiate a complete settlement and a comprehensive peace treaty, that would give everyone real security, so we could get on with the real, pressing problems we have that need world cooperation.

The British government must be either the most ignorant bunch of clowns who ever posed as statesmen or they must be evil, almost beyond belief! If the problem is ignorance : they do not understand the dangers to the WHOLE WORLD of sending depleted uranium rounds to Ukraine.
When the war is over, who blew up which tank will be of interest to very few people, mostly to relatives of the Tank crews. However, Ukraine is (or was) the "Breadbasket" of Europe. In fact, it sends food all over the World.
DU ammunition is effective in destroying tanks, true, but when the round hits the tank, the depleted uranium catches fire, the smoke blows around and eventually settles in the soil. Food grown there, absorbs some of this uranium and when it is eaten by animals (including humans, of course) it lodges in the animal's cells like a time bomb waiting to go off. When this uranium is eaten by a pregnant mother, it can be incorporated in the baby. When one of these uranium atoms decays (Explodes) it can cause a mutation resulting in a stillbirth or worse, the birth of a hideously malformed child. Rishi Sunak and his Minister for Defence (There's a misnomer if ever I heard one!) are condemning the mothers of all countries that buy food from Ukraine to this monstrous possibility. If anyone thinks this is alarmist propaganda, they should ask the Iraqis or the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
If they don't know this, they are so ignorant that they should be nowhere near the "levers of Power". If they know this and go ahead with this diabolical plan, they must be some of THE MOST EVIL people who have ever lived.
It is extraordinary to me that there is so little outcry over this announcement! Extraordinary too, that Putin has not spelled out the danger of this move, in detail. It is not "just" a nuclear escalation, even if it does not result in a nuclear war (which it might) it condemns countless generations of children to the possibility, the probability of being grossly deformed or cancerous and condemns their mothers to grossly heightened worry around giving birth. This problem will not go away for HUNDREDS OF GENERATIONS. The uranium in these shells, has a very long half-life.
In short, this announcement, is telling the World that one of the greatest "Crimes Against Humanity", is in the process of being committed.

People in NATO countries have frequently blamed NATO for causing the War in Ukraine. Hardly surprising! Considering how hard NATO worked at so doing. From 2014 to February 2022 the NATO trained and led Ukraine army, attacked the Russian-speaking provinces of Ukraine, killing 14,000 of them in the process, about 10,000 of those being civilians. Then in Feb 2022 they announced that they were going to clear the Russian-speaking provinces (The Donbas) of all Russian-speakers either by driving them out or by killing them. This left the Russian government the choice of either:
A) going to the rescue of their fellow Russian-speakers or standing by and letting them be killed or driven out and seeing a NA*I-led, NATO-affiliated government in Ukraine or
B) going to war with NATO.
The first choice would have been domestically politically impossible for the Russian government, the second choice looked (To many Western observers and particularly to NATO strategists:) suicidal. As it turned out, the Russians were not so weak, corrupt, incompetent, rebellious, inefficient, badly led, badly trained, badly-armed, etc., etc. as they had been portrayed in Western propaganda. The expected easy victory for "the largest NATO-trained and armed army in Europe", has failed to materialize and we are now looking at a possible Russian victory.

In my honest opinion, anyone making DU ammunition, after the terrible experience of Iraq and Serbia is guilty of a Crime Against Humanity. The US sending DU ammunition to Europe is another vile attack upon all European people now and for the long-term future. The use of these weapons will contaminate the soil of what has, in the past, been dubbed "The Breadbasket of Europe" and make sure that anyone who eats food grown in this area will be at risk of producing deformed children.
In general I am against the Death Penalty, but for people making, advocating, sending or using such weapons, I would think it highly appropriate. Humans, after all have the right to defend themselves and these weapons are not, cannot be, aimed at anyone in particular, but attack humanity in general.

That is upside-down and inside-out! It was the US that wanted Ukraine to fight Russia. It was the USA that stage-managed the Maidan coup, and having prepared the Ukrainian army for seven years convinced itself that the Ukrainians could easily defeat Russia. When, in March-April 2022 the Ukrainians looked set to settle with the Russians, the Warmongers in Washinton and London, sent Boris Johnson to talk them out of it, because they still thought, that with their help, the Ukrainian army could easily defeat the Russians. Partly, they fooled themselves that the Russians were an undisciplined rabble, who would run away when they saw the Ukrainians coming, that the Russians were badly led, stupid, unwilling to fight, disorganised, had incompetent officers and NCOs, poor arms, old outdated weapons, no reserves of shells and missiles and other things of a like nature. They believed these things, probably, because they had read this sort of thing for years in the MSM, who were parroting what their leaders said!
If the Western Intelligence organizations knew different, they did not say so, because their bosses did not want to hear that sort of thing!

Seems to me that what Putin says is straightforward and common sense. The only surprise in what he says, is how different it is to what we are told he says, by the MSM. When you listen to what he says, it makes sense and it is clear that he is in full control of his senses and he does not appear to be hiding anything. Furthermore, he does not evade questions, he answers them. The widely spread idea in the West that he is on some drive to conquer the World, does not bear examination. (To me it looks like what the psychiartists call "projection". I.e. thinking that other people are thinking or doing what you yourself are doing or thinking. Like a man planning to murder his wife, imagining that his wife is planning to murder him.) In the case of Russia planning to conquer the World, one has to ask: "Who has about 900 military bases all over the World and why? Who has the largest military budget in the World BY FAR ?" (Bigger than the next 9 or 10 countries put together and some of those are allies!) Who has attacked and largely wrecked, at least 50 countries since 1950. Is it Russia? No, it isn't. Russia has one of the lowest population densities in the World (About 30 times less than the UK.) it has no need of more land. So why do so many people in the West think that Russia is on some drive to conquer the rest of Europe and after that the rest of the World? It is because, that is what they are told, over and over again. That repetition is a fact, but however many times a lie is repeated it does not make it true.

2:45 I hold no brief for Lindsey Graham, but he has really shown up Lloyd Austin as too cowardly to come out and make the "Politiccaly incorrect" statement, that dropping atomic bombs on surrendering Japan, was a monstrous, unforgivable War Crime, though it is pretty clear that that is what he would like to say. As he doutless knows, the intention, behind the decision to nuke Hiroshima and Nagasaki, was to frighten the USSR. To shorten the war, so that the USSR did not invade Japan, which they were about to do.

This is silly! It is so obvious that it was NATO or a NATO member country that it is a no-brainer. The USA said, through its officials, at least three times in public, that it was going to destroy the NS pipelines. They had opportunity to do the sabotage, US and British ships were in the area at the time of the attack. They have the means to carry out such an attack and they had the motive. (Sell expensive US LPG to the Europeans, sabotage the European economy.) To cap it all, you have Liz Truss, British PM sending a message to Biden a minute or so after the blast saying: "It's done!"
So you have a "suspect" who has means, motive, capability and opportunity and who has stated clearly that they had the intention and you talk about "suspicion"? Come On, Man!

What is needed by everybody except a very few, though powerful, warmongers, is peace and security treaties, meeting everyone's need for peace. War is such a waste of people and resources! It is the stupidest way of settling arguments. In general, it does not settle arguments it just stores up resentments and postpones the Next War. The Russians submitted their requirements for peace in the months before February '22, but the Western countries led by the Warmongers in the USA and Stoltenberg, would not even discuss the proposals, they wanted WAR. Well, they got war and now they wonder what to do about it. The longer they delay finding a way to stop the war, the worse they will find the Russians' demands are.

Everyone who has been interested in the War in Syria, has known from a long time back, that ISIS, ISIL, IS, Al Qaida and all the rest of these bodies were US proxies.
At the start, in 2011, it seemed that angry Syrians were attacking the government of Syria and then, that this group suddenly became overpoweringly powerful. The alarmed US came in to fight them, (uninvited) but they continued to gain ground, in spite of the best efforts of the US to halt them. Over the years from 2011 to autmn 2015, ISIS got stronger and stronger and ruled a larger and larger Califate carved out of Syria, Jordan and Iraq. No one could stop them! The US bombed them continuously, but they continued to grow and to conquer more territory and to control a bigger population. The greatest mystery though was : who was financing them??? No one seemed to know!
Then the Russians came to the aid of the Syrian government and ISIS (or whatever it was called at that time) started to lose ground. Then the Russians showed aerial photos, of the convoys of hundreds of oil tankers, carrying Syrian oil off to Turkey and Israel and the mystery of ISIS's finances was solved! The US "bombing of ISIS was shown up as make-believe and shadow-boxing, and ISIS as a US proxy. The rest is better known.

Until NATO started really "Poking the Bear" hard, there was no danger to guard against. The German government policy was rational until very recently. Of course, if you are going to provoke an armed conflict with a neighbour, it is as well to find out how capable he is before you start! It seems that the Collective West, made the potentially fatal mistake of believing their own propaganda about Russia's feebleness, corruption, stupidity, laziness, cowardice, disorganization, dud equipment, "a gas-station masquerading as a country" and so on and so forth. They, obviously thought, that the barrage of sanctions, they imposed, would crash the Russian economy and the Ukrainians would crush the Russian army, (if the Russians even had the nerve to respond militarily to their challenge, (which was massacring 14,000 Russian-speaking Ukrainians between 2014 and 24/2/22 and threatening ethnic cleansing of the rest.) They thought, apparently, that the crashing economy and the military defeat would lead to a "color revolution" in Moscow that would remove Putin and install a pro-western government. They were wrong on all counts.
