  1. 1: 58 This is not really a correct assessment of the situation, The "dwindling" supplies are not caused by lack of interest on the part of the Collective West(CW). The "Dwindle" is caised by the CW running out of armarments to send to the Ukrainians. Over the past decades the arms industries of the European countries, have largely been taken over by the US arms companies (Rationalization) and closed down to prevent them competing, with the result, that the manufacturing capacity has greatly diminished from what it used to be. Another cause, is the energy to drive these industries and a lot of the raw materials has been sourced from Russia and a lot of the supply chains have been sent to China to avoid making greenhouse gases in Europe and the USA. Further, the CW's arms industries are run like almost all Western industries, by accountants and as a result, anything that was not particularly profitable, was either closed down and sold off or diverted into making something more profitable. So things like 155 mm shells, which were run-of-the-mill products, that fetched a not very high price and no "excitement" and for which, in the years of peace, following the Soviet collapse, there was only a small market, are now hardly made in the CW at all. New machine tools, needed for making shells, would need to be made anew and the majority of machine tools are currently made in China. To make things like shells you need skilled workers, skilled inspectors, tightly controlled factories, skilled engineers, and a whole gamut of other skills. Without these, you will lose whole factories, in a large puff of smoke. So, it will take time to rebuild the CW's capacity. It might be much better, quicker and cheaper to negotiate a complete settlement and a comprehensive peace treaty, that would give everyone real security, so we could get on with the real, pressing problems we have that need world cooperation.
