Before the SMO started, Russia asked the Collective West for talks to settle the collective security of Europe. I.e. talks about how to give everyone in Europe security (Including the Russians!) and the West refused to discuss it. They treated the request with disdain! The Collective West wanted this war, because they believed their own propaganda and thought the Russians were no match for the Ukrainian army. (The largest, NATO-trained army in Europe, with seven years of battle-hardening and all the weapons it needed to defeat the Russians.)

If you can't beat them, then negotiate. It standsd to reason. This HT report, shows that Ukraine was betrayed by Boris Johnson when he advised them not to negotiate, because the Collective West would support them "For as long as it takes" (Remember that much-repeated phrase?) with as many weapons as they needed, to acheive a decisive victory over the Russians. The trouble was, he did not know what he was talking about! He believed his own side's propaganda.

It really isn't the fault of the Zelensky regime, they are all puppets. You might as well blame the Organgrinder's monkey for the tune the barrel organ is playing! The blame for this whole catastrophe, lies in Washington, with the small clique which has been, since WW2 at the latest, intent on conquering Russia, dividing it up and looting it, as they did when the USSR broke down.
