There is nothing new in these media lying to us. It goes way back; Mark Twain warned about it. I have seen it myself, back to the second World War. The only difference (If difference it is.) is that the relationship between the MSM and the propaganda/intelligence function of government, seems to be more formal and tighter than it was a few years ago. It seems to me, that the relationship was screwed to a new pitch after Snowden defected and the Guardian was told to better toe the line.
