3:10 Clayton is right it is a question of the type of crude. As I understand it (I am not an expert) to get a lot of diesel in the refined product, you need the really heavy crude such as is produced by Venezuela, Iran and Russia. Saudi crude is much lighter and produces more (petrol) Gasoline than diesel. West Texas intermediate (WTI), I imagine, produces some of each (but its hard to get, or something.) Yes. The West has sanctioned the countries that produce the crude that is best suited to make diesel.
