Since 1945 there have been many wars and threats of wars. I have not done the detailed research to be sure of the exact figure, but at a guess, I would say that the US was involved in about 95% of them. That is to say it provoked about 95% of them. If war breaks out over the status of Taiwan, it will be the US's fault and no one elses's. (Except its lapdog the UK!) The "Taiwan problem" is a hangover left from the Chinese civil war. The US supported the fascist regime of Chiang Kai-shek against the Communists who were led by Mao Tse-tung. In 1949 Chaing lost decisively and fled with all the treasures his forces could carry to Taiwan. The US Seventh Fleet stopped the Communists from pursuing them. That is to say the US was poking its nose into Chinas internal affairs. It has been doing that ever since.
The US, seems to think, quite sincerely, they tell us so very often, that they are and should be for evermore, Top Dog. They are, the country which is so good, so perfect, has such wonderful Democracy, freedom, values, that all the world should do as they say. They mean it and they seem unwilling to listen to anyone who wants to tell them that "it aint neccessarily so!" If anyone does not understand this their message, they send their army or an army of their proxies, to convince them of the error of their ways.
