  1. You can sum up the situation by saying : There is only one country threatening World peace and that is the USA. If they were not so doing, who would? The Russians had a bellyful of war in WW2, the Chinese have not indulged in unprovoked aggression in a long time and are primarily interested in building up China and avoiding being conquered. (having experienced what that is like, in the century ending in 1949.) India is not on a war path. Nor is Japan, nor is Germany, nor is Iran. So who is threatening World Peace? Only the USA and its vassals. So the CW indulging in an arms-race with Russia and China, is good only for the US' MICC.

  2. 1:07:00 The West has no need of taking part in an arms race, unless they still harbour dreams of conquering Russia and/or China. The WHOLE cause of the armed conflicts in the world is the aggressive actions and design of the western powers. Without their multiple aggressions and plans for further, still more ambitious exploits, the world would be largely at peace. Neither the USSR nor Russia nor China had/has any ambition to conquer any other country, It's true that there are disputed borders but were these disputes left to the countries concerned most would be settled by diplomacy and there would be no prospect of any of them developing into WW3.
