  1. If Taiwan were independent and the Chinese did not attack the US forces that would have to be there to prevent a Chinese invasion. The Chinese would not trade with Taiwan and the US would then have the job of keeping Taiwan supplied with everything it needed as well as keeping a very large force in place to deter the Chinese. It does not sound like a feasible plan to me.

  2.  @AzizAziz-lc2qk  No. This is simply trying to imagine what would happen if statements by US politicians were put into action. I did not intend to imply that any of this phantasy was remotely possible to put into action! I would have thought that was obvious.
