  3.  @reshchak  After I wrote that, I remembered that one of the reasons Kenen Horny gave a search for a vindictive triumph, was often a slight or an imagined slight to an "Inflated self image". I should think that this fits the situation vis-a-vis NATO and the Russians very well!
