1:06:08 Another thing that supports Russia's resilience, particularly it's powerful Science and Technological strength, is its educational system, which seems to turn out far fewer people with no technical skills or scientific knowledge at all. I may be mistaken in this but my impression is that there is a lack of people with what might be described as a "Secondary Modern" education. UK readers will know what I mean, I find it difficult to explain to others. Sorry!

@blengi I have no recent personal experience to go on, but that does not correspond to what recent visitors to Russia have told me.

@blengi Come to think on it, that PISA score also does not jibe with Russia turning out vastly more STEM subject graduates than most countries in the west, which they do.
