  1. 23:54 NATO was not "created to defend" anything! It was and still is designed to help the USA maintain its position as the World Hegemon. It wa orginally designed to defeat Russia, but since then other threats to the USA's dominance have emerged and so have the aspirations of the organisation.

The USA for example is always saying how much it is concerned about other countries respect for Human Rights and at the same time is supporting in word annd dee the Israeli massacre of innocent Palestinian civilians.

  5. NATO has been shown up as being incapable of either Conquering or Controlling by the SMO. Their real purpose is to keep (By any means neccessary) the US MIC in work.

  6.  @Markyellowcake  The price of anything is "what the market will bear". So, since "the market" (the USG) is not paying for the product (The taxpayers are) the price is more like "what they can get away with"! The Whole purpose of the exercise, is to enrich the shareholders and employees of the US MIC. Any other effect of the policy (Such as scaring smaller nations into submission.) are a bonus, but not the primary purpose.
